Hair System Ventilation
 
The most popular types of ventilation are called knotting, injection and looping. Knotting is most commonly used in lace base systems but can be used with skin bases as well. Injection and looping are only available in skin bases.
 
Injection ventilation requires a little thicker base so the hair can be sealed between a layer of polyurethane and silicone. The cool part is there is no hair return.
 
Looping ventilation means the hair is sewn through the base almost in a V or U pattern. There is a hair return with looping and it isn't strong enough as injection or knotting. The skin layer, however, can be much thinner.
 
Knotting is most common in lace base systems but can be used with skin bases as well. The hair is tied around the monofilament material in very tiny knots. These knots are usually available in a few different sizes: double knots, single knots and half knots.

Double knotting
Double knotting is ideal if you prefer a very thick density, with lots of volume and height. The bigger knot size makes it difficult to lay the hair flat down so your hair style should be fuller.

Single knotting
Single knots are the easiest to lay flat. So if you like the slicked back look or style your hair to lay flat on your head, the single knotting is ideal.

Half knotting
Half knotting (also called split knots) are the smallest and most undetectable knots. They do however, provide some lift. Half knots are even smaller than the single knots and can also be used in a slick back style.

Bleached knots
These knots are put through a bleaching process after being tied to the base. This takes out most of the dark color and leaves a virtually invisible knot that really appears to be growing right from your scalp!
 
Single-strand construction:
If the density is not too heavy, we always use single-strand construction on our bases which means we only tie 1-2 hairs into each knot.
 
Transitional density hairline, the way nature intended: 
 
The transitional density hairline replicates nature. Just like real growing hair, the first few millimeters of hair knotting are natural, random, zigzag with a subtle graduation into your normal density level. A completely natural, undetectable front hairline... To both sight and touch:


 
Stock and Custom Hair Systems: These are two very different types of hair systems available:
Stock Hair Systems - These are mass produced according to the most common color graduations and hair loss sizes. Because they are sold "as is" and off-the-shelf, they can be a very inexpensive way to buy. We can establish Stock Hair Systems for a hair company, but we do not have any ready made stock for an individual customer.  
Custom Hair Systems - The obvious benefit to a custom system is the level of measurements that are taken for your specific size and pattern of hair loss. Getting an exact color match and organic graduation into your own natural growing hair is also an important detail to achieving an undetectable look. We produce a lot of custom hair systems for a hair company, hair salon or an individual customer.
 
How to order the hair systems: 
You can send the template, the hair sample and your order form to us. Your order form should have the following detailed information, such as: the base size (if no template), base design (base material), base color (skin tone), hair type, hair length, hair color (if no hair sample), wave or curl (hair texture), hairstyle, density, etc.
